Brian Crane

Founder & Investment Advisor

There's the advisor, and then there's the person. You've seen how Brian thinks about your money — here's a little more about the human behind White Peak: what he's into, what he's listening to, and the one food opinion he will absolutely not back down from.

In his own words

Five questions with Brian.

01

What made you want to start White Peak Investments?

After 7 years as a wealth advisor, I realized that the traditional onboarding process can feel incredibly overwhelming for clients. I wanted to build something different. A major blind spot for some investors is true diversification — they may not be as diversified as they believe. I started White Peak to be the go-to partner for intentional, sophisticated diversification. The best part? You don't have to move your entire financial life over to work with us. We love helping clients ‘dip their toes’ into unique alternative assets to complement what they already have.

When you aren't talking investment ideas and opportunities, what are you talking about?

I am deeply passionate about sports — basketball, football, baseball, and golf. People always ask me, ‘Who's your team?’ and I actually find it tough to answer. I'm less of a die-hard fan for one team at times and just enjoy the overall leagues. I love diving into the deep strategy, the analytics, and the unique storylines behind different players and teams. If there's a good game or a compelling sports story unfolding, there's a chance I'm tracking it.

What's a book, podcast, or concept that changed how you look at the world?

I have listened to a podcast called Plain English. The host takes massive, complex topics across economics, technology, and culture, and breaks them down into clear, actionable insights. I love learning, and that show constantly equips me with fresh perspectives on global shifts that I might not have the time to deeply research myself. It's a great reminder that the best ideas are usually the ones explained simply.

What is your ‘Perfect Saturday’?

It starts early — around 6:30 AM with a 3-mile run, followed by a quick jump in the pool to cool off. From there, it's all about making a great brunch breakfast burrito and tuning into whatever major sporting event is on that day. To wrap it up, I'm meeting up with good friends for a great dinner out.

What is a ‘Hot Take’ opinion you have that you'd die on the hill for?

A lot of people think I'm crazy for this, but I firmly believe a salad can be eaten with absolutely zero dressing. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a delicious dressing, but if a salad comes out dry? I'm perfectly fine eating it as-is. I will die on this hill.
